Salary Range: $40-50K depending on qualifications

 

Summary:
The Small Business Navigator is responsible for providing guidance and assistance to small businesses in the community. This includes meeting with business owners to understand their needs, providing information and resources, and helping them navigate local, county, state and federal licenses, permits and processes, as well as developing their business plan and growing their business. The Small Business Navigator also develops and presents workshops and classes on various business topics, and creates and maintains business resource tools.

 

Responsibilities:

• Meet with small business owners to understand their needs (virtually & in-person)

• Provide information and resources to small businesses

• Help small businesses navigate the regulatory process

• Develop and present workshops and classes on various business topics

• Create and maintain business resource tools

• Identify, propose, and implement initiatives to remove barriers to entry and systemic issues that impede a business’s ability to start and grow

 

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, entrepreneurship, marketing, or a related field or equivalent experience starting and growing a business

• 5+ year of experience in small business development

• Strong understanding of business plans, financial statements, small business marketing and management

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Bilingual in English and Spanish
